post surgical wound
« on: June 03, 2019, 07:39:29 AM »
On Thursday my boy had two lumps removed, one from his side the other on his neck. We have a surgical recovery suit which covers the stitches on the side wound but the wound on his neck is just from under his ear to where his collar would go so no buster collar allowed.

Does anyone know of a surgical band protection item that wound go around his neck, the surgical suit covers most but the very top bit and at night he is scratching it.

Have you tried putting a thick, soft sock or some bandages on the leg he scratches with? It won't stop him scratching, but at least the claws can't tear at the stitches and skin. Like a neoprene sock or something similar to it.

How about cutting a section out of some thick tights or leggings and pulling it over his head to cover the area?
