Sore on foot

Hi

Finley has a small sore on one of his toes, not sure how he has got it, was alerted by licking foot, I have been bathing it in Hibiscrub for the last few days, anybody got any ideas what I could put onto it - it looks like it needs to dry out, want to catch it before it gets worse.

Could you put a sock on his foot, to try and stop him licking at it?

Bailey had a sore toe, which was very red looking, and he was constantly licking at it.  Paranoid Mum thought grass seed  and rushed him to vets, to be told he had stubbed his toe    We got some lotion to put on a couple of times a day, and to stop him licking it off, we put a sock on him.  It wasn't easy because he kept trying to take it off, but it was either that or the dreaded lampshade

Hi Letty, we did try the sock method but all he did was hop around on three legs (silly boy)!!!!!!!!

Herbie hurt his foot after walking along a gravel/tarmac track - he prefers grass .

It looked like he had a blister and I left it alone - tried to stop him licking it and he got better very quickly, I just didn't exercise him that much for a week.

Hope he's OK soon.
