Floyd is acting strange! Update please help!!
« on: November 12, 2007, 08:51:05 PM »
Hi Guys,

Im concerned about Floyd ive come home tonight to find him sulking (yes he really does sulk)  ::) and he keeps constantley licking his lips all the time like something is bothering him ive checked his teeth and mouth and cant seem to see anything tryed to give him some water. Ive seen Floyd do this before but only when hes been playing (as if he's hurt himself) but within seconds he's ok. But hes not been playing or anything.

Has anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?

They will sometimes do that when they are feeling nauseated, or lick strange things like carpeting.

Maybe a little queasy tummy?  :-\

Have you spoken to the vet and asked their advice?

If it were me I would be taking him to the vet asap - he sounds quite poorly  :-\

I would think that he's licking his lips so often because he's stressed by either pain or discomfort of some sort.

The lack of bowel and bladder control would bother me too.

If it were me I would be taking him to the vet asap - he sounds quite poorly  :-\

Me too.

I think you should take him - he might have eaten something that has made him poorly.

I agree with everyone else, he sounds like he's quite ill  :-\  I don't want to be a scaremonger but remember if its something he's ingested its been in there since last night and its making him quite distressed.  I'd get him to the vet this morning.

Let us know how you get on xx

Could it be a lip fold infection? That would explain the smell? :-\ Jarvis smelled disgusting when he had his, and he was also really poorly, far worse than you'd expect from a lip fold problem. I agree, going off to the vets is the best plan. :-*
