Is your boss a male, if so try the hysterical crying, most men can't cope with this and he may just let you go, as he doesn't know what to do.

great minds think alike cdpops-- was just going to suggest the same  :'(

Just a thought Gemma,

Have you spoken to the vet to say why you couldn't get there with Floyd ?  and also explained to them his

symptoms?  If they are concerned maybe there is some way they can help, ??

I'm sure all the upset, worrying and stress is making you feel unwell - can they really make you stay there if you say you're feeling sick?  Do you have any neighbours who could at least peer in through the window to see what's happening?

If there's really no way of making it home, ring the Vet and arrange the first appt you can for after work.

Please try not to worry too much.

Yeah I rang them to tell them I couldnt make it, ive now got an appointment tonight. I explained the symptoms and there not sure what is wrong with him but wanted to see him straight away (this morning)  :'( :'( :'(

There in the kitchen so the neighbours wont be able to see them through the window. She wont let me go home now even if I say im sick she will no the reason and apparentley they can dicipline me for that. Apparentley our company doesnt have a union either!!!!!!!

If he is smelling strange, licking his lips and being off with Charlie, perhaps he has anal gland problems  :-\
Hope everything is OK with him soon and the vet does his stuff  :-*

Grrr...you must be so mad as well as upset and worried.

I'd certainly be looking for a new job after that!

I hope Floyd is ok

I don't blame you - its just not worth it if they can't help you out when you're in need.  >:D  I agree you should look for a new job!

Is there not a company nearby that will pick up the key and take flloyd to the vets?  We have a local pet taxi which is advertised in our vets - they say they will take your pet to the vet - to be honest I couldn't imagine not going myself but would never be in the situation as you are (I've got good employers).

Thinking of you and hoping it all works out - I'd have gone out of my mind by now!  The anal gland suggestion is a good one - and if this is the case hopefully he'll be ok just a bit uncomfortable.

Did you mention the symptoms to the vet?  If so, had they any ideas?

I really hope you manage to get the little chap sorted today - how about you suddenly keel over, they can't prove you're not well :shades:

oh how horrid for you. How can anyone be that mean that they won't let you take a sick puppy to the vets?  >:D  I really hope Floyd is ok and the vets can mend him. Poor broken pup. I think I'd probablly just walk out, but then again its not my job that I need to keep. Can you ask to leave early and make the time up? Are you owed any toil time?  Thinking of you. xxx
