Just thought I would take a few minutes to update you all after all your support last year.

Despite initially thinking that Grace was really bouncing back, she developed a reaction to the internal stitches and deemed to be in alot of discomfort. The vets were concerned that she may have hurt her back but could not be specific so we were referred to some specialists in Chester and an MRI scan (cost a whopping £1600!! - thank the lord for petplan)...

anyway she has spent a couple of weeks on Tramadol and Meloxin - the tramadol completely knocked her out so she has spent the last couple of weeks comatosed! anyway she seems to have woken up and she seems to be pulling through again, back to the vets on friday night so hopefully they will only have good news!!

I'm sorry to hear baby Grace has been poorly since you posted this originally, but lovely to hear she's on the mend

Have just read through this thread, poor Grace, sorry she isn’t doing so well at the moment.  Hoping the vet has good news for you
Not surprised she was knocked out by the tramadol, I take it and it’s horrible

Thanks for updating us. I had been wondering how she was getting on.

When our springer Heidi was spayed, several of the 'dissolvable'  internal stitches failed to dissolve, once they worked their way to the surface and were cut and removed all was well. Was it a similar problem for Grace?

Sorry Grace has been poorly again, hope she recovers quickly and is soon feeling better again
