Finding the right vet
« on: June 20, 2004, 10:09:27 PM »
Hi

Can anyone recommend a vet in the liverpool area? I've just moved over here and don't know any dog owners so no-one to get a personal recommendation from. I'm collecting my puppy in mid-july...can't wait!, but thought I should start "vetting" the vets now! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't know Liverpool but why not 'interrogate' some dog walkers (in the name of market research of course while you're looking into dog walking areas as well).

One thing thats important is to check on their 24 hour service as not all vets provide a satisfactory service.

Thanks Penny

There are a couple of nice parks locally so I'll go for a walk at the weekend and get interogating!

That's good advice. I work at a vets, but we are in Glasgow, and our vets cover their out of hours service. Some vets don't, so that's something to consider.

Recommendations are always useful, so ask anyone you meet pros and cons.
