Bailey kept at Vet's overnight
« on: October 07, 2009, 01:11:07 PM »
Bailey has been at the vet's since 3.00 am, he had a very high temperature and was very dehydrated.

I took him to the vets Tues morning as he had been sick and didn't seem his self, he gradually got worse throughout the day and so we ended up taking him to the out of hours vets this morning, he is still there now and I have to ring at 4pm to see if he can come home. His temp is down and he seems a lot happier, but has refused food, which as he has not eaten anything for 2 days is worrying.
They have not found out what caused the symptoms either, blood tests did not show anything abnormal and his stomach is soft and not tender.
It might have been  a bug that he picked up over the week-end (we went to Norfolk) and he has now managed to throw it off.

So please keep fingers crossed for us

Jarv won't eat when he's at the vets  ::)  last time they sent him home so we could encourage him to take food (he was eating within an hour of being home) so get some chicken morsals ready for the homecoming  :lol2: ;)

Sorry to read that Bailey is poorly - hopefully its a bug and hes over the worst of it. Fingers crossed he comes home later today.
Your dog is your friend, partner & defender. You are his life, love & leader. He will be yours, faithful & true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Poor Bailey.  :luv: I really hope he keeps picking up and is home with you soon. It's horrible when there ill isn't it. There are a few bugs around at the moment, which I think may be due to the change in weather. Lots of positive healing thoughts coming his way and 5 sets of Cocker smooches, which I feel is by far the best medicine around.
