Woofies a bit sick
« on: November 08, 2009, 10:16:27 AM »
Woofie has had me up a few times in the night whingeing, I have let him out and he seemd to be ok.

But after breakfast this morning he has been whingeing again, he ate a lot of grass and has been sick.

He is still drinking water, his poo is normal but he is still whingeing softly and eating grass.

Do I let him continue to let him eat grass or bring him in?

Is there anything I can do to help him, he seems fine in himself?

Thanks

Lisa x

Hope's OK now Lisa  :-*

Sounds a bit like my friends cocker.  He was ok in himself but was bringing up a frothy bile. She just gave him some potato/fish and made sure he'd got water.  Fine the day after.

He hasn't been sick again but has eaten quite a bit of grass!

We were going out for the day with a picnic to a country park but settled for a walk across the fields near the house.  He was absolutely fine bouncing about like a 2 year old.  Will keep an eye on him and give him something bland for tea.

Hope Woofie is Ok and that it was just "one of those things".

Aww poor Woofie, sorry to hear he's a bit under the weather  :luv: No advice for you I'm afraid, but hope he feels better soon. Chloe eats a lot of grass, but I think that's just cos she likes it  ::) She is sick occasionally in the mornings, that slimey watery kind of stuff, but I never worry if she's still bouncing around. I guess I may be be slightly more concerned if she'd been winging as well, like you describe Woffie doing, but I bet he's just got a bit of an upset tum, and is feeling slightly uncomfortable.
Fingers and paws crossed he's all better very soon  :luv:

He has just brought up a big ball of grass!

It does sound like he's eating the grass to get rid of something in his stomach doesn't it? Not that I'm very knowledgable in these matters  ph34r

He has actually stopped whingeing.  After we went for the walk I accidently got in my nice clean bed after lunch and as if by magic two cockers appeared, so we have all had a siesta  :005:

But OH says Woofie came downstairs, asked to go out, sicked the grassball up and then came back to bed!  He is now fast asleep on the settee next to OH.

Will keep an eye on my big boy.

Thanks for your kind words  :-*

Katie and Smudge head for the grass if they have something disagreeable in their tums, and bet your life about 2 mins after you will hear the 'pumping noise' and a quick dash into the garden.

Hope you are not having afternoon tea right now ;) :005:

oops!! forgot to add, hope woofie is feeling better now
