Thanks for all your lovely messages.  Kept me going this afternoon.

Lela is out of the operation.  The vet didn't find any 'foreign bodies', which is good in a way, but would have explained what has been going on.  He thinks she has a nasty gastroenteritis which had stopped her bowels from moving. They have cleared her stomach of lots of nasty stuff (sorry) and things seem to be moving again.  So they are hoping she will just get through it over the next few days. 

She picked up something REALLY horrendous in the park at the beginning of the week (dead bird/piece of meat??) so that could be the source of all this.  Spaniels hey....

So pleased everything went OK. Light diet for a few days until things settle I guess. Hope your feeling less worried.
