Dozybird - what a coincidence! Have you posted any pictures of Roxy? Alfie is our first dog and he's hard work but so much fun.  :luv:

Sorry to hear the problems you have been having. A friend's puppy golden retriever had an intersusception a few years back and was successfully operated on.

Hope he is on the mend very soon.

Poor Alfie :bigarmhug: and poor you ,you must be devastated.  :'( The only consolation is that it was picked up so quickly  Babies can also get it, however i think it is rare for it to recur so hopefully it will be the same in pups.  :-\  I do hope and pray he recovers well and is soon back home having lots of cuddles.  :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: from Mollie and Jan

Poor Alfie - wishing him a speedy recovery  :luv:

As long as your insurance isn't one that just provides cover for 12 months, then if it were to recur, you would be able to claim.

Glad to hear he seems to have come through the op ok, and hope he continues to make a good recovery...

(Also glad your vet was reassuring about the chicken, there's nothing worse than having any doubt about whether something you did contributed...)

Well done for acting so promptly - it looks like speedy treatment it the key for this, so it's great you were totally on the ball.  Sending lots of healing thoughts...

Just caught up with this, what an ordeal for you both  :'(

So pleased to hear Alfie is on the mend now and will soon be home to you. I'm a first time owner with Freya too and every mishap and complication has been completely terrifying so I completely understand how this must have felt for you.

:bigarmhug: for you and your little man, and heres to a speedy recovery  :luv:

Oh poor little Alfie - what an ordeal for him, and for you! Lots of caring thoughts for all of you and I hope you're all back together soon and Alfie can get back to the business of being a carefree puppy again.
