Going backwards
« on: December 03, 2012, 05:16:14 PM »
Is it normal for a 6 month old to regress in behaviour?
Alex is pooing indoors (even with the door open) pooing and weeing in his bed during night and while at work etc.
He hasn't done it for a few months now  >:(

It's everyday for the last few days?????

Please tell me he'll stop it soon  :005:

Perfectly normal I'm afraid.  He is becoming a teenager  >:D

Although if he is pooing and weeing indoors it might be worth popping him to the vet to make sure there is no medical reason for it  ;)

Coco became a nightmare at 7 months - her recall went completely and I found her totally frustrating and exasperating  >:(  Just when I thought I had it cracked  :-\

You may feel that all the training and progress you have made since he came home has gone out of the window but you just need to go back to basics now and persevere and he will come out the other side.  It might take a few months though - sorry  ph34r

Absolutely agree with Joules  :shades: You have to basically treat him like a baby puppy as far as training goes, keep up with all training as though he has never had it and just ride out the storm   :P

It does end, but it is a matter of a few months  :-\ >:( :005:

Could it be the start of secondary teething? Archie regressed hugely when his back teeth started bedding in.

Glad things have improved again - there are likely to be many more ups and downs I'm afraid  :-\  Just go back to basics again and he will get there eventually  ;)

Yep, our Jem is now nearly one and has been a challenge at times but we are now beginning to see that our training hasn't been a waste of time and is beginning to pay off :)
