my friend's barking lab!
« on: December 02, 2008, 05:54:39 PM »
I'll bet there's lots of threads about barking but I'm feeling lazy and wondered if any of you can give me advice to pass on to my pal (or even refer me to a previous thread!). As some of you will know, she just got Baz, a lovely rescue lab. Apparently he can bark for Scotland..mainly at the TV!..and he finishes off his barking episodes with howling at the moon. She put him in the kitchen last night and apparently that calmed him down for 10 minutes before he kicked off again. I remember reading something by Top Barks about teaching a dog to bark on command and then teaching to be quiet, but I didn't quite understand...(want to elucidate Mark?). Chloe also has become exceedingly vocal but at least I don't have neighbours, whereas my friend does, and she's understandably a bit concerned!!!! Any comments much apreciated  ;)
