I wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for your invaluable advice!
I first came across this forum years ago when we rescued a very scared and troubled blue roan cocker spaniel Maude. I didn't comment at the time but I also gained so much invaluable help and advice for which I was always so grateful.
After a long time and lots of patience Maude turned into the most wonderfully loving companion, although she was always scared and we did a lot of management with her around new people, situations and dogs. Unfortunately we lost her very suddenly in February this year after 5 short years and we were heartbroken.
We didn't last long without a dog however and in July welcomed puppy Mabel!
In the delights of puppyhood I have been pouring over the forum again and felt it only polite to introduce myself!
At six months Mabel is a bundle of fun and she is really finding her feet. She has been great with most things apart from an aparent fear of dogs despite lots of scoisalisation and no incidents but we are working on that.
I have tried to put a picture on the puppy board although I am not sure how successful that has been....
