Accountancy software?
« on: February 06, 2013, 05:38:28 PM »
Just a shot in the dark but seeing as you are all so diverse thought i might pick your brains....

We desperately need a software program to do our work accounts - primarily billing ( we bill 200 clients a month) I am currently using free software through our bank but it is archaic and needs updating - and has done for several years!!!

I can't really afford sage at the moment as it seems hugely pricey so any ideas?  I am not an accountant i am a tour guide but needs must! It needs to be simple!

What about Quickbooks? Costs aboout £80 and would do what you want I think. I have never used it but maybe you coould ask on here if anyone has - I'm an accountant  for my sins :)

Thanks jan, I emailed them this evening to see if it would fit the bill.  Seems like a minefield - there is so much out there but our needs are very specific and billing is very important
Thanks again!

Sorry, but I really do think Sage Line 50 is worth the investment at your current, let alone future, business levels :-\

Hi we used sage at work and we didn't like it possibly because we didn't know how to use it
We now use an online package called clear books really easy to follow you can try it for 30days free I think
It's worth having a look we have used it for nearly two years and it does the job
I work for a transport company so we are invoicing allocating cash etc all the time plus there are loads more features to it raising purchase orders lots of reports you can export import
The bank is good you just import your bank statement straight into clear books and it remembers the contact from last time so it's brings it up straight away  :D

Looks like there is a free trial
