Outlook - Incoming messages are not there?

I had a problem recently with my talktalk connection & since then I'm not receiving all of my e-mails 

I know as I was having to access my webmail elsewhere & then when I eventually got my connection back these messages didn't all come through 
When I send/receive it details receiving so many messages but only some come through but my inbox folder now has 11 messages unread - so where are they?

I had a similar problem - found them in a Norton Antispam folder which had been set up autimatically.   Perhaps your security/firewall software has done something similar.

Yeah, sounds very much like they are being marked as spam.  If you have Vista, it has inbuilt spam filtering for Outlook - but if it's XP then I expect it'll be a 'feature' of a security program which is filtering them.

Thanks.  I didnt know if it was/is more of an outlook problem 
As since my recent complications with talktalk if I try & open outlook before explorer it comes up with a connection error   
I'm running XP, Trend is the security software. 

Ah well I've selected all & marked as read & see what happens now.

Are they in your search folders?  Or large mail folders?  That is where i foudn a load of messages hidden from me
