Bank emails
« on: February 22, 2008, 02:08:05 PM »
Does anyone get lots of bank emails in their junk mail on Hotmail?  I keep getting these from banks/bs like Nationwide/Natwest/Abbey ..Security alerts.  I do not have an online account with anyone   I dont open them and just delete and report as spam but they keep coming  ::)  Today I've had six from Nationwide one minute after the other  >:D

We get them from 3 banks and always delete without opening them.  I did try reporting them to the banks in question but they didn't seem interested.

Apparantly if you open these emails or any emails for that matter it lets them know your email address is infact live, im sure you can block this kind of stuff  :-\

I use Incredimail for my e-mail, and there is the option to block and bounce, they get the standard 'I'm sorry to inform you that the message you have sent
could not be delivered to one or more destinations' then if another e-mail arrives from the same address it's instantly sent to the deleted folder and that folder is emptied when I exit Incredimail.
