Blackpool Championship Show

Just wondered if anybody from COL is going?   As it's local to me I thought I might pop along  to Gundog day Saturday 26th

I'm going and taking my little boy Morgan, not to show though, just to spectate!

Are you allowed to take dogs that are not entered Debbie ?

Hi Jann,

Yes you can, I e-mailed the secretary as I remembered getting there last year and seeing a small sign by the gate saying you could bring your dog.  This was the reply I got from them:

'Yes you can take a spectator dog, but only one and you must Fill out a Spectator Dog form + pay a small charge , which you will obtain the form from the catalogue booth just inside main gate, your dog MUST be on a lead at all times and very well behaved.'

Tee hee, so excited, hope to get him lots of treats.

Directions:

FROM BLACKPOOL: take the A583 Preston New Road, crossing M55 Junction 4 heading towards Preston - straight on at the traffic lights at Peel Corner. Head towards Preston until the first roundabout, all the way round and back up the A583. Turn left at Westby Road as directed. (local sign posting and one way system to the show will be indicated)

FROM MOTORWAY: M55 at junction 3, take the A585 to Kirkham, then onto the Kirkham bypass roundabout, right on the A583 towards Blackpool. Straight through traffic lights, then turn left into Westby Road as directed. (Local sign posting and one way system to the show will be indicated)

There is ample car parking, please ensure you follow the instructions of the car park staff who will ensure you are parked swiftly & safely.

The show runs from tomorrow, until Sunday.

yes, it's on Friday, Saturday and Sunday -  I'm going tomorrow as well as a friend is showing her Chinese Crested.
