Sweep slept in a crate in the kitchen for the first year or so quite happily. Then we had a big thunderstorm one night which really upset her. We have been on the slippery slope ever since!
She is 4 in September and now will come up to bed with us and have a cuddle but when its lights out she takes herself off downstairs and sleeps in her basket. I think its cooler in the kitchen. We don't hear a peep out of her unless she's desperate for the loo in the night because of "dietery indiscretion" or something. The only time she stays up on the bed is when she is not feeling very well (as I have learnt!)
