There is no actual "treatment" for kennel cough itself - it's a virus. 

The problem is if they get a secondary infection (bacterial) which has to be treated with anti-biotics. 

If your vet prescribes anti-biotics if your dog only has kennel cough and not a secondary infection then they are wasting your money.

Yep I'm aware of that but my elderly spaniel went on to have a nasty chest infection & then her heart was effected . It's everyone's choice whether they choose to vaccinate or not & I suppose due to this I will always get my dogs vaccinated  ;)
