I would still like to know why a breeder has not DNA tested a bitch they are breeding from - these tests are not new anymore and most reputable breeders test all their dogs, not just males.
I agree I think it IS important to have BOTH the dam and sire tested...I wouldnt breed or buy a puupy without this
Although trying to find a pup where both parents have been hip scored & have a low score isn't easy
I think its getting better though as more do seem to be hipscoring. hopefully it will become the norm in time
