Yay, Ella has lost some weight!!
« on: July 06, 2012, 08:31:39 AM »
OK, so not massive amounts  :D

she was 13.6kgs 3 weeks ago, and last night was down to 13.1kg

still a bit more to go, would like her to be down to be around 12kgs, as she is a 'big' girl anyway!
my sister said it was all the fluff I shaved off her  :005:

Well done.

I need to get some weight off Delilah. Even though I've been under feeding her it's still managed to creep back on. The vet said I need to cut back even further - she looks at me as if to say 'is that it?' now. Sure she won't be impressed on even meagre rations!

Maybe we  should start a cockers weight watchers  :005:

Good luck with that. Ella completley ignores my other two and will not play or run around with them >:(

mind you, she doesnt know how to play :shades:

still working on that! :D

I now weigh every meal of kibble, (I even bought a set of electric scales!) and then add either raw or cooked veg or fruit, she is on sliced courgette or carrot with dinner, and when I leave them she has either a pear or an apple!  :D
she is getting very picky about raw carrot though! >:(
or cooked mixed veg (bought frozen!)

Well our Lottie plays a lot with the youngster Dora ! year old now and its only that that really keeps her active . When it rains she flatly refuses to go out !! God help us in the winter

Lottie was 13.8 kg and is now 13.6 but that 300 g took two months so well done Ella and well done you for doing it in three weeks  :D

Well done  :clapping: :clapping:

Have you tried putting one of her meals in a ball? You can still put all her kibble allowance in, but she might not notice that there's a reduced amount and she gets a bit more exercise like this one http://www.petsathome.com/shop/training-treat-ball-for-dogs-by-wlpet-13549

Or try putting a spoonful of bran in her food to bulk out and make her feel fuller

Hi Pam
yep, tried a ball with kibble, when it moved she just stood there and shouted at it, then at me, then back at the ball again :005:

have added bran in the past, but it doesn't seem to make her think she has eaten more, but the fruit and veg seem to do the job :D
will keep going on the symply for now until she has lost the other kilo, but need to decide what to go onto after that :-\

Shame about the ball, mind you Rosie loves hers, but Ebony bashes hers around and gets frustrated with it  :005:
