Positive thoughts for Jazz
« on: August 22, 2016, 05:03:35 PM »
Jazz has had a lump removed from inside his left thigh today, along with several warts in various places.   He also had his ears flushed whilst sedated as he has had a recurring ear problem for several weeks and it transpired he did have a dreaded grass seed in his ear.  I had taken him to the vet four weeks ago regarding his ear and drops were prescribed following examination and the vet was quite sure there was no grass seed present.  As the ear problem did not clear they decided to flush his ears while he was sedated.  Very annoying it was not picked up earlier.

The lump has been sent away for histology and I am just praying there is nothing sinister going on.  Fingers and paws crossed for my boy.

I'm sure Jazz must be feeling a lot happier after having the grass seed removed.  Hope the results are good news

How is Jazz today? Hopefully recovering from the anaesthetic nicely and not feeling too sore :D

William's had a few lumps removed in the last year or so. One was known to be fatty but was growing fast and was in his groin and starting to interfere with his waterworks, so it had to go. Loads of stitches but a quick recovery. The most worrying was one that suddenly appeared next to his tail. A needle biopsy showed spindle cells, which can be nasty or not, so a decision was made to remove it. Histology of the lump showed nothing nasty fortunately.

Fingers crossed that Jazz's lump will also be a harmless one xx
