Good to know Lady has her appetite and an attitude!  Both will stand her in good stead  :D
I hope she copes ok with the crate and heals quickly.

She's being a madam - despite her age she can move if she wants to and she's a real fidget. Took her for a short walk to the local cafe yesterday so I could have a coffee (cafe allows dogs in) and give Lady a break from the crate but she wouldn't stop fidgeting so I spent most of my time stopping her moving round so much.

Touchwood she continues to improve and give me grey hairs as she loves to go free running when she gets excited about something (so she is immediately picked up and put in the crate) - she spends a lot less time in the crate but still confined in the hallways when I leave the house. She's now doing walks with the other 2 but she's still onlead ad she has a new foster sister (a beautiful chocolate cocker girl) who is also onlead at the moment.

The test will be when she goes back offlead in a couple of weeks time and I will have to stay away from their favourite places for a while (notably the river banks)

Sounds like good progress, although frustrating for you both.

Thanks

Its quite scary as well as I want her to have a really good quality of life too, which means letting her run and run

Thanks. She's now being allowed part of her walk offlead - I walk her for 10-15 min onlead, then allow her to go offlead in the meadow and is back onlead if we're near the riverbank (this is very steep and all the dogs have no problem launching themselves up and down it so for now am not going to risk it with her)
