If you go onto cocker spaniel rescue Sussex there is one listed Gail Parsons 01903 725593 I think she is in Litlehampton. I got in touch with her 2 years ago but in the end we got Maggie from Dogs Trust Bridgend . The 2 journeys there were well worth it for us . This lady says to call between10am and 6 pm. Hope that you find a cocker soon.

Non-specialist rescues get cockers and springers in too.  Keep an eye on ones local to you as well and good luck.

Also I think it may be possible to contact rescues like Dogtrust etc. to ask them in advance to keep you in mind for any cockers/springers which may become available (register an interest?)
Remembering Smudge 23/11/2006 - 3/8/2013, and Branston 30/8/14 - 28/10/22 both now at the Bridge.

Sometimes its not always possible to register in advance as rescues don't have the capacity or vols to do it  -they also know people look at different rescues so they might waste their time ringing round when a person has gone elsewhere - especially if some dogs are bound to go quite quickly anyway with little advertising its not often worth it. On occasion if someone has applied for a dog and hasn't been successful then they may be contacted if a similar dog comes up shortly afterwards.
