Winston is still a baby only 6 months old
Winston needs an active home with someone around all the time who has experience training dogs. No children under 10 years.
Winston is a Pedigree Kennel Club Registered Cocker Spaniel boy who is extremely friendly with everyone he meets. This is an active, boisterous pup who has never had a day of training so we are looking for a home where he will be trained quietly and kindly on a regular basis.
Winston would make a super agility, obedience or working trials dog..
He is fostered with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and is well socialised.
PLEASE OBTAIN FULL FAMILY COMMITMENT TO DOG OWNERSHIP BEFORE YOU PHONE US
Please do not apply for this dog if you work long hours and intend to leave the dog without having enough time to give it loads of playtime and attention and three good long walks each day no matter what the weather.
We will be very selective about the home this dog goes to as his needs must come first. He has been passed from pillar to post all his life and now needs a forever home. Please consider carefully before applying thank you.
Phone Jane 07551418286 between 9.30am - 6.00pm or text any time. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME AND SURNAME IN THE TEXT.

Winston is still looking for a new home

I do hope this lovely boy gets his new home soon, I just don't know how many people can realistically promise 3 long walks per day :dunno: :dunno:

I so wish my application had been considered for this lovely boy! I am back in Bulgaria now and my dogs have an absolutely wonderful life here! At present they have 2ft. of powdery dry snow to rush around in, a huge garden, plus I am at home with them almost all day, every day. I can understand why I wasn't allowed to take him on and don't have a problem with that decision. But oh - how I wish..... :'( Do hope this little chap finds his forever home really, really soon.

What's happened to all the previous posts?
I thought someone was going to see him yesterday ??

The thread has been "pruned" as Winston is still looking for a home ;)

Thanks for the update Joules.
Quite a few of us have applied and been turned down. Really hope they find someone for him soon. :luv:

Really sorry that Winston is still looking. At least the Rescue is being super careful about the match for his forever home. Have to agree that stipulating 3 walks a day does narrow down prospective homes- it's the quality of the walks rather than quantity that's important I think. Also, training sessions everyday (which can be done at home/in garden) would keep him alert and using his brain. Still, the Rescue have his best interests uppermost, and he's in foster where he's safe and loved.

Well done Ollie Nathan's mum. :-* Just wish Winston's previous owners had had a brain. >:D At least you tried, and have given a bit of extra info which may find him the right home. x

Can we get back to the point of this thread please which is trying to get a home for Winston? :shades:
Constant analysis of why certain homes did not work out for him clogs up the thread and is not helpful, especially as there is already a thread about it here :

In future, it might be wise if people did not post until something definite has been agreed with the relevant rescue :dunno:
