Taz ia a 3 years old Golden Cocker Spaniel who has a lively and active personality and will need a lot of exercise. He is a kind, gentle dog who loves company and attention and barks when left alone.
Taz is very good with dogs, he is fostered with dogs of all shapes and sizes and shows no aggression even when the terrier pinches his chew !!!
Taz pulls slightly on the lead at first on a walk but has very good recall off lead, he travels well in the car and loves to be out and about with you.
Taz is an intelligent and highly trainable dog, he would do well in Obedience classes if given sufficient kind training based on food reward. He loves to play ball and will play fetch all day long which is a good way to exercise him.
Taz needs to be left alone to come to you for a limited amount of fuss, he is a very loyal and loving boy but doesn't want people in his face all the time, just the occasional pat on the head and stroke along his back. He will lie at your feet or next to you on the sofa and enjoy your company. If pushed he may growl so sensible, dog-wise owners needed.
Taz needs regular visits to the groomer to keep his coat clean and prevent matting, we have shaved him to get rid of matted fur and to allow his skin to breathe and be kept clean. He will now grow a nice new coat ready for the winter. Owners need to factor the cost of grooming into the cost of dog ownership.

Taz would suit a family home where he won't be left long hours, older teenagers are better than young children as he doesn't want the noise and chaos of youngsters, he needs a calm environment with peace and stability to help him overcome the anxiety he feels which leads to Separation Anxiety.
Taz just wants to go a long country walks with his doggie friends, play games, and come back for a nice meal and lie by your feet chewing a rawhide chew or snuggling up next to you on the sofa in front of a warm fire. He is an ideal loyal companion and pet who just wants someone to love and take care of him and put him first.
