Wellingborough Dog Welfare have the most beautiful chocolate roan cocker in for re-homing.
This is what they have to say
Thomas is a nine month chocolate and white Cocker spaniel, he is currently being fostered by me and my family. He is utterly gorgeous and very friendly with both Dogs and Humans. He has a heart problem which doesn't seem to be affecting him at the moment and he is quite happy to bounce around with my pack all day and night We have no way of knowing if he will last for 6 months or twelve years, there is nothing that can be done and he takes no medicine for this He is under assessment and training at the moment and not ready for rehome yet. When he is ready I want a 5* home for this dog, he has already taken the biggest spot in my heart. I want him to have the best life however long or short it will be, I am willing to wait forever for this
He is flying through my assessment His heart condition was picked up when he was a young pup and he was scanned in Warwickshire by dog heart specialist. What previous owner does know is his left valve doesn't close properly and blood gets push back up into his lungs. Nothing can be done and no way of knowing how long he will last It might not ever be a problem and the way he bouncing about you wouldn't know.. I am awaiting more information from Previous Owner, who is trying to contact his consultant
Can anyone offer this gorgeous boy that special home?
He isn't on their website yet but are taking enquiries
http://www.wellidog.co.uk/contact.htmETA: The fosterer will update on Wednesday, but from what she's told me he sounds perfect
& if her circumstances were different I'm sure she'd be keeping him
My understanding is he won't be re-homed to full time workers & with children under 5
