Prince 8 y/o gold boy at Many Tears
« on: November 11, 2009, 10:58:18 AM »

 :luv: :luv: :luv:

10-11-09 Prince is a 8yr old cocker.  He is an ex stud dog. This handsome fellow is learning quickly how to walk on the lead. Prince loves to have a cuddle and would love a home to call his own.  He would be best homed with another dog or dogs to help him adjust to living in a home and to be be his friend.

PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company.  They get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up.

This dog is at the main rescue centre in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG:
Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £150 for dogs at the centre.

This is heartbreaking reading all of these rescue posts from Wales. He looks so sad (and lovely). Many Tears wouldn't allow us to rehome with our circumstances but hopefully in the future we will be able to. My heart goes out to these wonderful dogs that deserve so much love. I hope he finds a home quickly.

07-12-09 UPDATE
From their website:

:luv: :luv: :luv:

Prince has been with us for 2 weeks and has quickly and easily settled in.  He is hugely friendly and affectionate, getting on well with everyone he meets including cats and dogs.  Prince now walks well on a lead and understands the commands 'sit' and 'wait'.  He is fully house trained and sleeps well at night in the kitchen with our own dog.  We leave Prince for short periods during the day and he is coping well with this.  Prince is a very happy dog and wags his tail non-stop, he loves company and is always ready for a cuddle.

Being fostered in Cowbridge, South Glamorgan.
