Fleas
« on: July 26, 2005, 09:53:35 PM »
Coral my wife who is an angel without wings and who is a carer came home from work about two weeks ago with some bites on her ankle. I asked her if she had visited a house with cats and she said she had so I reckoned they were cat fleas.

Last night our Jess kept pawing at his face and we thougt that maybe his ear was giving him a problem so OH cleaned them out. Today OH was stroking Jess when something jumped on her. When I arrived home from work she told me and I took a close look at Jess and sure enough I found a flea on him that promptly took flight onto me.

This is the first time in his eight years that Jess has had fleas.

Needless to say its been fumigation panic time in the house tonight.

Two questions that you may be able to help me with.

1.Is it true that dog fleas will not bite or live on humans but cat fleas can and will bite.

2., We use Frontline on him and so is it also true that even though he has frontline they wil not stop the fleas but will stop the reproduction and hatching of the eggs.

Tonight neither am I smiling nor is our Jess laughing like mutley cause he is wondering just what the hell has hit him with all the upset.
