Anyone used VetsMediCover for insurance?
« on: April 04, 2020, 11:04:03 PM »
I’ve had a look through the other insurance-related posts, but couldn’t see a mention of VetsMediCover, sorry if I’ve missed it.

Has anyone used them and had good or bad experiences to report?

Looking at lifetime cover, up to £10k, with £90 excess. Premium is £26 per month, which compares favourably to other insurers for the same level of cover.

But grateful to hear of any feedback on the insurer.

Many thanks,
Steve

Hi sorry I can’t answer your question but also looking for a good insurer. We used Petplan last time, and the claim system is good but they are really expensive.

Who did you opt for in the end?

I am finding these days that good deals happen then after a while insurers change things. Morethan was really cheap then now they're not. Petplan seem to be the most consistent of them all

Although I am with Animal Friends and finger crossed the only claim was last year and as Ollie was 11 I feared the premiums would sore and they didn't - I have heard and read many times about Bought By Many insurance also the KC Insurance - worth looking at the reviews.

Why I wont promote Animal Friends is because they have had a few bits of bad press and I knew that they phoned the two previous vets for Ollie's history when I made the claim....while that is what they do I kept thinking that my premiums had paid for his treatment 10 times over.  But with vet bills it is good to have,
Cocker kisses and cuddles just make my day!

You are always with me darlings Jaypup and my precious Oliver you are so missed
