Having just come back onto the COL site and told everyone my 10month lold Alfie was fine, found he has a very large lump on his bum!! About the size of a 10p across and about 3/8" deep. He's been on antibiotics for a week to see if that would cure, saw vet this morning and he wants to operate immediately, thinks it's a tumour - wont know whether it is malignant until samples sent to lab. Just feel so sorry for the little chap, at least this time tomorrow the op will be over and then it's wait and see time until lab results are back. Hey ho. Kind regards to everyone  Roy

Oh Roy poor Alfie :(  I hope everything went ok, do let us know how hes doing.

Take care

Hi there
Sorry for not updating yesterday but I was very busy trying to stop Jessie scratching her wound
Its on her right shoulder and has 3 stiches in it....its about 2 inches long.  :?
She is fine today.....trying to do everything she would normally but we are trying to calm her down so she doesnt strain the stitches...she howled the house awake this morning in protest to being in the crate on her own (she normally shares with Saffi) as we kept Saffi out so she didnt have a go at the wound as she wants to keep sniffing/licking etc.
Roll on the 28th when the stitches come out  :)

Hi there,

We too have a Cocker called Alfie. 5 weeks ago he was Castrated OUCH!!! due to his behaviour in the park etc.
Last week a Lump appeared inbetween his teets and a couple of inches from his willy.
We are wondering if this is something to do with his Op, ( a common occurrence etc)

But are monitoring it regularly and will be taking him back this week.

Any Opinions?

JOHN
