I really hope it isn't parvo, but I have seen some pups get better and make a full recovery from it. It could just be just a bad tummy bug, here's hoping anyway. :-*

The breeder doesn't sound very good, I have to say. :-\

Oh goodness, poor little mite - will be keeping everything here crossed.

Surely the breeder should have had them vaccinated against parvo before they go their new homes.

Poor Ollie, how awful :'( :'(.  I really hope he pulls through :-*.  I cannot believe your breeder keeps insisting it’s separation anxiety - especially when the vet is saying the poor boy is so seriously ill :huh:.  I have everything crossed for little Ollie :luv: :luv: :luv:

It sounds like the puppies have picked up parvo at the breeders house  :-\ as a pup at the breeders was being taken off to the vets to be put on a drip  :embarassed: So maybe some of the adult dogs at the premises are not vaccinated?  :huh:

Poor little Ollie  :'( :'(. You did exactly the right thing in getting him to the emergency vet so quickly. I hope he recovers. Fingers crossed here.

Hattie just had a bug and is fine now so I really hope that's all Ollie has too and that the drip - and thoughts and love from COLers - help him pull through

To try and give you some reassurance, there was a thread recently about a 13 week old pup who was terribly ill with parvo, and he pulled through:

I hope the breeder is going to cover all your vet bills as it definitely sounds like he left her with the virus. Got everything crossed for you  :luv:  :luv:

Just had a call from the vet.................no change in his condition.  They have run the parvo test, and will ring me again as soon as they know.  The breeder telephoned and told me she is going back with six of her little puppies to make sure they are ok............so, at least it will help the other little ones.

I feel sick......I am just sitting by the phone, hoping that a miracle will happen.

I have never prayed so hard for anything.....

Thank you so much for all your notes..............it is just so good to be able to talk to someone about it, and especially people who understand.

He did have his two vaccinations...........the last one was on Monday morning before we collected him.  But the vet thinks he was germinating the virus before Monday (if it is parvo), not confirmed yet.

Please, please.........let it just be a virus, and let him get well.   I can't bear the thought of another loss so soon.

My thoughts the same as everyone - losing a cocker is the worst thing in the world at any age, but pups are just so vulnerable and it's so frightening when they get sick. Fingers and toes crossed that he pulls through and makes a full recovery - praying for you too x
