little ears?
« on: June 29, 2007, 04:38:36 PM »
When i first got Lilly her ears appeared to be about the right size for her body, however as she grows they seem to be lagging behind. She now looks more like a springer than a cocker. Does anyone know if they are the same as human in the respect that her ears will keeping growing all her life. All her litter mates have "proper cocker ears".

Is she a working cocker, because they do have shorter ears?   She is very beautiful, lovely colouring.  :luv:

They look just right for  a worker  :luv:  Ben's ears look long as he has long hair but the actual ear isn't that big!

she is  5 months old on 5th July. Just had another look at her dad Whaupley Reiver and he has got little ears as well so I suppose that could be it. It is only when she does the "cocker plead" that she looks like one

all the springers I know have really long ears just like cockers have.
all my spaniels have really thick long ears even tho they are workers. I think the shorter ears arent in our breeding as our lot all have long lugs..see..
