Hello!
We are James and Carly from Hertfordshire. We've been reading the forum for quite a while, researching everything we can before looking for our ideal Spaniel. At the weekend we chose little Oscar - a golden show puppy :D We will be collecting him on the 8th - a week today!! We're both sooo excited and have loved buying all the little bits and toys ready for his arrival :lol2: Neither of us have personally owned dogs but there are quite a few in our extended family. We're looking forward to the steep learning curve and sleepless nights! :005:
Here he is at 7 weeks old when we went to see him:

We'll soon be back with lots of questions once he arrives!

Hallo and welcome!!!
What a lovely little chap he is! reminds me of how Humphrey looked a few months back - the time goes soooooo quickly and they grow up so fast, so enjoy every second of puppyhood (before he gets to the puberty bit :rofl1: :rofl1:- which is where we are at the moment!! :011: ).
They're joyful dogs to have around and reward you a thousand times over for the few inconveniences of the first couple of weeks.
Best of luck and keep us posted!

YESSSSSS OSCAR'S COMING HOME TOMORROW!!! :dance04:
We're not really sure what to with ourselves tonight, we're like kids on christmas eve! We're both ever so excited but a little apprehensive at the same time.
We've spent the past week cleaning, tidying and puppy-proofing the house and garden, many toys have been purchased and there's a tub of Nutriment puppy defrosting in the fridge....I think we're almost ready!
I'll be setting off fairly early (unfortunately Carly has an important meeting first thing but she'll be here waiting for us after) He's only about a 1:45 drive away so not too bad.
Photos to follow!! :D

I know you are excited but you must really get a good night sleep, might be your last for a while :005:

Is he home yet :shades:

Is he home yet :shades:
He is indeed! We got him home about an hour and a half ago :D
He had a rather traumatic journey in the car, he didn't like it one bit and spent most of it whining and squeaking. We got him home and took him straight to the garden where he spent more time sniffing the grass than wanting to pee....he went before we left the breeder's house so i'm not too concerned!
He scouted out the conservatory and kitchen whilst I built his crate. Once it was all up he went straight in and has been sleeping there ever since! :lol2:
