Snow and Paws

(1/3) > >>

Jo W:
It's not snowing here in Leicester yet but it is forecast so I'm trying to get prepared....

When I take the dogs out in snow I have to stop and pick balled up snow out of Amber's feet every five minutes otherwise she just stops walking.  Is there anyway of stopping it happening (I keep her feet quite short)?  It really ruins her walks for her.  I heard about using vaseline and also wondered about little boots.... like the one's beardies wear.

Pammy:
I think boots will be your best answer if it's such a problem. You could try some baby socks to see if it will work first as they can be costly.

Jo W:
Thanks Pammy.  Doesn't anyone else have the same problem though?

Pammy:
Can't say I do. You could try putting ectra conditioner on their paws and featherings - that might help a bit

*Jay*:
I have the same problem with Brook but he loves the snow and will carry on walking/playing regardless. The only problem I have is that he hates getting them removed from his paws when we get home ::)
