Waves of sadness still sweep over me but yesterday I was drowning, because yesterday it was a year since I last held you in my arms, kissed your little face and told you how much I loved you. I miss you so much Ellie, you were so very special, so very sweet and gentle and I loved you so very much. I am sorry I put you through the surgery sweetheart, but there was a chance we could save you and I had to take that chance. I would have done anything to save you, but it wasn't to be.
I know you are now back with Toffee, your best friend, you were always so happy together and I know you missed her so much, so I'm glad you are together again. Look after Sophie for me, and Toffee's sister, Honey. I hope you are all playing happily in the sunshine and that there are gravy bones everywhere.
I love and miss you so much, it still hurts so much. One day we will be back together again Ellie, I promise you, and we will never be apart again.
