I found the following on a website:-

Fruit
Fruit can be high in sugar and can also be acidic. This will upset your dog's digestion and is best avoided.

Potatoes
Feeding potatoes is not recommended due to their high starch content, which is not very digestible to dogs and may cause problems.

I also read somewhere that you shouldn't give them too much brocolli.  I think carrots are fine - when Fern was a pup we used to freeze one and that was good for a while til she got bored with it and it left a big wet patch   Also no to choc, onions, grapes, raisins etc but we all know that  ;)

Nobody told OH's pointer that. She used to pick and eat blackberries from the bush herself, help herself to apples from the orchard and was not averse to pinching the odd strawberry when she could  :005:.

Little monkey - it can't have done her any harm!  Its like we (humans) get told not to eat too much fat/salt/sugar etc, but we still do, and we're ok (if a little chubby  :005:)! I've just planted strawberries - better keep my eye on them!

Mine both love all fruit and most veg including the heart of cabbage and the thick stems of greeens etc and they love salad. They did once munch their way through a 2.5 kilo bag of raw potatoes while I was at work - OH had left them where they could get at them  ::) I rang the vets and they weren't too concerned, just said they may be sick which they already had been.
