Help Needed In Feeding Jessie
« on: November 02, 2012, 01:31:18 PM »
Can any one advise me please. I have a 1 year old working cocker who is always hungary. At present I am feeding her 1/2 a tin of butchers and a bowl of bakers. I have been  advised that she should have more. Can any one give me a correct quantity for her needs.  Sandra.

Hi, Too be honest Butchers and Bakers dry food are not some of the better foods.  Some of the ones recommended on here are JWB, Barking Heads, Arden Grange, Skinners.  Bakers is full of colorants and preservatives and can make them hyper.  Grain free foods are Orijen, Applause, Acana. My two have Acana a high protein  though you don't have too feed so much.   Here is a website about different dog foods  http://www.whichdogfood.co.uk/.

We also have a few raw feeders on the forum that might post with some advice.  Jessie might not be getting enough from the food as it is a poor quality.

Erica.

Where in Leicester are you? We are in Oakham.

We have a two year old working cocker girl, we feed her 250g of Applaws, split into two meals. She also has one Rodeo after her evening meal and a dentistyk at bedtime. She weighs 18kg and is very lean, though she is quite a big worker.
