I feel for you and all the others in the same situation and I‘m just so grateful that Humphrey‘s exercise routine hasn‘t been too restricted.
Have you done any retrieving with Bella? I started with Humphrey using dummies (if shops are open and you can get a food dummy, all the better but not essential, just make sure you reward when she brings it to you). Instead of throwing it for her to chase, make her sit and wait while you place it somewhere and then send her off to fetch it. You can then progress by laying out more dummies (I made some out of some old jeans material and stuffed with foam, but there again you can improvise), so she brings you the first and then send her off to get the others. You can also walk with her, drop some on the way (but don‘t allow her to stop) and then stop and send her back to pick them up - that way she‘s running backwards and forwards (while you can stand still
). Another variation is to make her sit, walk away and place the dummy down then walk in the other direction so that you, bella and the dummy form a triangle. She‘ll be aching to fetch the dummy but call her to you first, then send her to fetch the dummy. All these exercises also help discipline and impulse control and are a good way of exercising in limited space. Once you‘ve started you‘ll find all sorts of ways to vary it. Do hope some of the restrictions can be lifted soon! Stay safe!!
[hope I explained them ok? If not, please ask - I‘d never have made a teacher!!
