Saturday morning at 2,700 masl in the Swiss Alps. Very misty, couldn't see much. Bobo met a yound female in heat and like a rocket ran further up the mountain into the mist. I waited 4 hours for the little monster to return, as soon as I left he returned.
Sunday - I was looking for him, others saw him but couldn't catch him. He was in panic mode and looking all over for me on the mountain. Received 4 calls with positive ID and location.
Monday / Tuesday - not a single sighting.
The golden eagles are out hunting to feed their brood, there are steep ravines everywhere although it's not cold and there is cow dung to eat as well as ptarmigan and marmots.
But now over 48 hours without a sighting - I must assume the worst, especially as he knows his way home. He went in a noble cause
.
Got to go and carry on searching. Here's the last photo I took of him.
