BARF here too :D
And here!  :D

I changed to Bakers puppy complete- much more interesting looking.
But it is packed full of E numbers and additives to make it 'look' more interesting.  :-\ And to be honest, I don't really think a dog goes by what it's food looks like. Not by the way my pair wolf down their liquidised offal anyay.  :005:

once I work out how many packs I would need in a month for 5 dogs  :o
I would say about 155 packs of 400g rabbit/turkey/tripe blocks or 31 x 2Kg packs of freeflow mince will cover it with a bit over Gill  :D .

 :o :o :o

Thanks for working that out - now, how to fit 155 packs into a 3 drawer freezer    I think this is going to work out very expensive  :-\
Tell me the total weight of all your dogs in kilogrammes and I could give you a revised figure. I probably overestimated as you will presumably be feeding bones and veg as well. You also have a little one who wont eat so much. I feed Fern quite a lot because she was alittle on the light side. I am sure I am overfeeding her and will be reducing her portions soon  ph34r . It's not too expensive at all -really.

I was going to say the same thing - it's all the artificial colourings and additives which make it look more interesting to humans  ;)

After buying all the food, I doubt there will be any money left for a new freezer  :005: :005:

Right, total weight of dogs would be approx 60kg. I won't be feeding bones, other than chicken wings, as the boys won't eat them but I would like to add veg, eggs, sardines etc.

Mine are fed wainwrights dry food. It's similar to JWB only cheaper.

I did try Sam on BARF and he ate it for about 2 weeks then went off it.
Love Kate and Sam xxx

You can order direct from AMP and get home delivery. You wont need to store a months food all at once. Just order £50 (their minimum) at a time  :D.

OK 60Kg total bodyweight. Feed 20% of total bodyweight per week- that's 12Kg food per week. 12x52=624Kg per year( :o !) /12 = 52Kg per month.

Soooo...... 26 x 2Kg bags of Freeflow or 130 x 400g blocks  :D  :D  :D

I'd buy the freeflow as you can squish them into shape to fit the space you have, also you have to defrost a whole block (that's where the overfeeding of Fern began  :005:)

Ben is on Arden Grange with the odd chicken wing now and again.  He likes it and it seems to agree with him - it also agrees with me as they deliver great big bags to the door, it also works out to be economical as the large bag lasts ages  ;)

Meg has BARF (I manage with a very small freezer), Jakey won't touch the stuff so eats Wafcol complete plus the odd tin of sardines, Tuna and scrambled egg made with water.

They both love probiotic yogurt.
