I certainly don't think you are being disloyal to Barney, I think you should give yourself a chance to meet him and then decide  :luv:

definitely don't feel guilty, but do ask yourself whether you are really prepared to take on an unknown who is likely to be very different to your barney. if you feel that you are emotionally strong enough then that's brilliant and you should definitely go meet the other dog, but you need to consider whether the potential stresses might be too much for you to deal with right now.

 i agree, its happened to me 3 times over the years with 2 dogs and a cat , and its been strange ,but i think some things are meant to happen , you should go and see this dog and you will know  ,dont doubt the feelings you get when you meet him

Just been on the phone to the dog's owner and have agreed to go to see him this evening. I'll see how I feel then. I know they are also heartbroken as they will be losing their little boy too whoever decides to take him. :'(

I hope everything goes ok tonight. Let your heart tell you what is the right thing to do. I would be very happy if I had to leave my dog and you were the person to take them. It is in no way being disloyal to barney, I had Eric within 4 days of having groove pts. Some things are just meant to be.
