Hi,
We have a referral appointment for Rhodri tomorrow for his hip problem. He's still doing his little bunny hops despite still being on the anti inflammatory meds and confined to lead walks :'(
Our vet is quite stumped as the x-Ray's didn't show the hip dysplasia to be that severe. Last time she saw him, she pulled him about quite vigorously and he didn't flinch which she was surprised at.
I'm so nervous about tomorrow, if you can keep my precious boy in your thoughts, I would be most grateful, thanks x

Fingers and paws crossed for the lad!

We're home! It's been a long day, we were on the road for seven this morning and with the rush hour traffic, we screeched into the car park dead on nine for our appointment!
The vet was lovely and gave him a really thorough examination and then we left him there for x-rays and for him to manipulate his joints while he was asleep. I hated leaving him :'(
The results were inconclusive really, the hip dysplasia isn't very severe at all and shouldn't be causing him any worry, he also checked his back and pelvis and checked for patella luxation and everything was fine.
The vet didn't really want to do any further evasive investigation at this stage so advised to gradually increase his exercise while reducing his meds and we'll see how he copes. We're certain that he's not in pain - he just has this pesky limp!
So back home, chicken and rice for dinner as he was starving and now he's flat out!

time for you to chill also..
just sometimes after a hectic day you want something more than " lets suck it and see" but then you are also glad its nothing horrendous

Glad to hear they've not found anything serious, it does sound very similar to what Humphrey does (like a little skip every now and again) and our vet couldn't find anything either. Hope it sorts itself out. :bigarmhug: to you and Rhodri

Not sure if you're in range of this place but they do excellent work and can help sort this out (I have friends who travel to their Cardiff or Swansea clinics as far away as Oxford or Notts or further as it has such a good reputation).
