hi all my spaniel over the years has often had her anal glands emptied. she also gets a sensitive anus at times but also has allergies.  I feed her a good raw diet, her poop isn't too firm and she doesn't seem constipated.  tonight when she went for a poop I noticed the inside of her anus looked very red also also she yelped as she was going.  anyone had this issue with their dog.

Is it swollen? Could be an infected anal gland.

doesn't look swollen.  the outside isn't red but noticed as poop came out a redness on the inside

Think a vet visit would be wise. Let us know how you get on.

my staffy bum is red inside  ( do not know what the neighbours thought of me taking a peek ) Things we do to help out  :005:  Picked the staffy as she has a bigger bottom  :011:
