Toby has been missing from home for about an hour and half. He got scared when the lounge door slammed because the front door was open. He bolted out the front door before I'd realised what had happened. We've been over the fields at the back of the house where we walk him but there is no sign of Him. He never goes far from the house. I've phoned pet log and reported him missing. I feel so angry with myself, he hasn't got his collar on because I don't leave it on when he is in the house. I'm just hoping he's hiding in the fields and hasn't got on to the main roads. I've been for a drive around but can't see him anywhere. I don't know what else to do, I'm so scared cos we have only moved to the area a month ago. Please pray that he comes home soon

Thinking of Toby :luv: and you :bigarmhug: and hope you are reunited very very soon.

My GSP escaped from my house when I was having my bathroom done. The plumbers let him out. >:(
I came back in my lunch hour and drove round looking for him but nothing. I went round again after work but nothing. >:( According to the plumbers he had crossed the busy road and gone across the railway line. >:( I felt sick and really panicky. I kept walking and then driving around but had no idea really where he could be. I felt really really bad going to bed and was fretful all night.
Then in the middle of the night I heard something outside. My darling Max was at the front door, scratching to get in. :luv: :luv: He was limping and goodness knows where he had been, but he was back. :luv: :luv: He had come back when everything was quiet.
Really hope your Toby returns home soon. :luv:

Oh I am sorry :'(. Doglost are a great organisation in helping to find lost dogs, so you should also register there: http://www.doglost.co.uk/ , Really hope he isn't gone long, this is my worst nightmare :bigarmhug:
-
I'm sure he'll be found tonight, but if he isnt then dogs in our area often get taken to Leicester Animal Aid...might be worth calling them in the morning. Crossing everything that you get him home tonight x
-
On no Kelly :( Hope he's home soon & just being a typical cocker maybe rummaging round for scraps of food in a nearby garden?
Let me know if there's anything I can do x
-
Everything crossed for a happy reunion very soon :-* Sure Toby is just having a little mooch somewhere close to home.
-
Hope Toby is found safe and well very soon.

Thanks for your messages. Just got back from another search but it's so dark , we went down to the river (his favourite place) but its hopeless :'( Mum has phoned the police so they're aware if anyone calls them :'(
We had a dog when I was a kid who went missing for hours then turned up in the middle of the night. It's just worrying when it's so dark. Maxine, your right knowing Toby He's having a midnight feast somewhere! I found a working cocker dodging traffic on the A47 last weekend and got the dog warden to collect him who reunited him with his owner.

He's not home yet, just about to go out looking again :-\ Will phone the dog warden and local rescues in a bit to see if they have him. Didn't get much sleep, it was a very long night, listening for any slight noise. Thanks again for your thoughts and wishes

Sorry Toby's not home yet. Everything crossed for you today. Wish I was closer as I'd come and help look...
Perhaps someone took him in last night and will ring the warden this morning.

I was praying I'd be reading good news this morning.

Oh no poor Toby, I hope he was found and taken in by someone last night and will be returned to you this morning.
Fingers crossed for you.
-
I hope you find him safe and sound very soon :bigarmhug:
I wish I was closer so I could come and help.

I really hope Toby returns home soon.
When my parents dog bolted, we just drove around and walked the streets calling her and asking everyone. We found her after 2 weeks of frantic searching. ;) Toby may be hiding so he feels safe, so continue to call him when you are out looking for him.
Of course ring every shelter and rescue in the area.
You must be very worried. Thinking of you and wishing for his speedy return home :luv:

Just picked Toby up from the dog warden. He seems no worse for his little adventure! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their thoughts and wishes :-* I havn't been on here much in recent months but this was one of the first places I came after phoning pet log. He was found about 1/2 a mile from the house around the time I was looking for him in the same area, guess I was just unlucky that I missed him. Glad he didn't spend the night in the cold tho. Think I will be keeping his collar on even when in the house now.
-
Just so relieved for you. Give Toby :luv: a big :bigarmhug: from me :-*
