Title: URGENT - BLACK AND WHITE COCKER SPANIEL FOUND IN HENGOED

Hope Rescue have been called out tonight to pick up a Cocker Spaniel who had crawled under a bush and was whimpering. He is now in our care at the vets and is very poorly (query diabetes and another underlying condition). He is chipped, his name is Harry and he is 10 years old. His previous owner rehomed him 2 years ago but the chip details were never changed. We are trying to locate the current owner who may have lifesaving information about him and they can be reunited. This boy also needs your good thoughts please.

Have they contacted the Dog Warden and Doglost?

Sadly Harry, the Cocker Spaniel we picked up last night, did not survive the night despite the vets best efforts. The original owner managed to trace the owner she rehomed to, but they also had rehomed him. We will try our best today to trace them, otherwise he left us as a Hope Rescue dog. Sleep tight Harry and we are so sorry we could not save you xx.

This is so sad  :'( Sounds like the poor little soul had a bad time in the last fews yrs and then died alone  :'( :'( :'(

Have been thinking about this poor little chap today. And also a little Jack Russell who was found frozen to death in Cambridge earlier this week.

I do hope neither of them were deliberately dumped during the coldest week we've had for years if not decades.

And if they were dumped, I hope the full force of karma comes back on the perpetrators.

it may well be that he got out and became lost and disorientated because of the diabetes etc ( that's the best scenario i suppose  :-\ )

so glad he was found though and spent his last remaining hours in the warmth and being cared for :luv:
