Tireless Titch finally says Hello!
« on: February 20, 2017, 07:16:14 PM »
Hi there, I have been avidly reading this forum since Titch came to disrupt our life last June. He is now a 10 month old wcs, and, although I have had several dogs over the years, I have really felt the need for help and reassurance with this one.

So, Much thanks are due to all the regular contributors on here, your helpful advice has saved my sanity, certainly in the early couple of months.

When I have a little more time I will attempt the daunting posting a pic. He is very cute, but I would say that wouldn't I.......

Hello and welcome aboard.
 What a wonderful name Titch.
We had staffies before being sucked in to the zanny world of the cocker spaniel.
The gently rocking in the corner while washing down chocolate bars with glasses of plonk, wearing odd socks and a wellies  does end and we pupate into beautiful well schooled humans  :005:   Enjoy the journey
Run free and fly high my beautiful Gemma

Welcome to the forum from another WCS newbe.

This is our second Cocker,  and it seems that they've learned a lot of new tricks since our last one.

Lucky you at ten months into this crazy world. You should be over the most challenging of it by now!

Thanks all, I think I was beginning to believe I was over the most challenging bits! Certainly I had no time or energy to post my questions a few months ago - at times I felt I could barely formulate a coherent sentence.
Anyway, today I took him out for a run (him, not me!) and he disappeared into the long grass, reappearing to my whistle, only to zoom past me about a metre away just to disappear in the other direction. I'm sure I could hear him laughing as he sped past. He was clearly having much too good a time, and I must put a stop to this next time we are out!

I've started reading the thread on training the stop whistle.......
