meet Charlie, we re homed him this week and he is lovely!
He was advertised as a 12 month old cocker, we have since discovered he is only 9 month, and are unsure if he is a cocker or springer, perhaps you could help! No KC paperwork!

Thankyou for your comments, I'm wondering if I'm walking him too much, I take him out at 4.30am for a 2 mile 45min walk before work, my partner does a 1mile 20min at 8.30, then he gets a 15 min at 2.30 and a 3mile hour walk at tea time! He is still full of energy though!

There is a saying that you get what you train. You're creating a super-fit walking machine, but that probably won't be satisfying to  him. Cockers need to work their brains - mine only gets one 45 minute walk at the moment because I am injured. We do training games in the afternoons - lots of five minute sessions, and ten minutes of chucking the ball around in the garden before he gets bored. He's spark out asleep by 8pm, earlier than when he had two walks but little training.

Yep.
My bitch will go ALL day and still be up for more BUT give her thirty minutes using her brain and she shows signs of tiring (just) hallelujah 😁

Hello Charlie  :luv:  a wcs if I ever saw one
I see you have made yourself at  home on the sofa. Your intelligence needs no testing  :005:

We rehomed our wcs Gemma at 10 months ( we have no paperwork either).  we also unaware of any training that she had received so started from the basics.  Doggy training lessons were a waste of time with her ( she was too busy sniffing the hall) so we ourselves trained her for working in the field flushing game. A sense of  humour and a wardrobe full of spare socks are all you need for life with a spangle

Run free and fly high my beautiful Gemma
