Which foods?
« on: May 22, 2007, 12:00:20 PM »
Does anyone have a handy list of which foods are ok for our dogs?  Maisy is mad for carrots but should they be cooked?  what other veggies can she eat?  also what meats are acceptable?  can she eat potato?

I am sure I saw a link when I first posted on here which has a list but I didn't save it and now I can't find it  ph34r

Please help!

Nina

We give Robbie and Alfie raw carrot and am sure there is other veggies they can have but I don't have a list I can give you.  Others probably will though.

We don't give them cooked carrot as it once gave Robbie an upset tummy.

Hi Nina,

We give Sasha RAW carrot, which she absolutely loves, she sits there and whimpers while i'm preparing the carrots for OUR dinner! (The breeder suggested them).

I do know that dogs shouldn't have grapes, raisins and human chocolate.

Just found this thread which contains a list:

And also just found these links:

Mine have raw veg of all kinds (except onions and potatoes) pulped or finely grated  in with their meals every day and cooked potato is ok.
They have  raw carrot and other veg and fruit (not grapes) for treats .
Also any left over cooked veg occasionally won't do any harm  ;)
