Hi everyone, I was really pleased to find col, and have found great advice and tips while waiting to be registered. Looks like I will be down to the pet shop for a whistle and longline tomorrow !!
I am new to cocker spaniels; I am the proud mummy to Milly (aka Milly munchkin) a chocolate working cocker aged 10 months. I adopted Milly 2 months ago as a companion for my almost 7 year old springer spaniel Paddy who had been very
after his life long soul mate, his mummy left us for the Rainbow Bridge in March.
I am glad to say Paddy has warmed to Milly and they have become great playmates. Milly is very charming and he didn't stand a chance of ignoring her for long
It's great to see Paddy
again.
Milly is just adorable with an infectious cheeky personality, in contrast Paddy is very laid back, with a wicked smile and the largest springer I have ever seen. He could easy pass of a small St Bernard if he had the brandy barrel round his neck
Unfortunately they are both runners when they get of their leads
, which I intend working on with the whistle and the longline. They are both great when at home, in the garden, or walking to heel. My problem lies in any scent of game, suddenly mummy becomes history
I look forward to being a member of your col community.
